Great summer recipe. Same as the other reviews I found 1/2 cup of sugar to be too much. Will use less next time. Also ended up using more ice.

Loved it...very refreshing but it was a little too sweet. I used 3/4 the amount of sugar and still found it to be too much. I'll definitely make again using just a little less sugar or maybe make with seltzer instead of ginger ale.

This was refreshing, slightly sparkling and a big hit with husband and kids. I used half the sugar, a bit more melon and less ginger ale. I like the suggestion below to try it with seltzer. Mine separated a bit when the ice melted - going to try it with more ice next time.

This was very refreshing. I used less ginger ale, but over all it was a great recipe. Will definitely make again!

My 11 year old son and I were watching your show and he said "We could make that." He made a list and we bought the melon and ginger ale (we used Vernor's, as we're in Michigan he picked the mint from our garden. This coming from a kid who doesn't eat fresh fruit or veggies, I jumped on it!
We made them with dinner the next night. It's been hot and humid and we enjoyed it! My son even drank his!

I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe! Wonderful for the summer heat in the South.

I've been trying to find things for my husband to enjoy after he gets home from work were he's out in the sun all day. We both love honey dew and mint so i thought this was perfect, but it was really gross. And it's the first thing that i've tried off your show which i watch every day. Sorry but i dumped it out.
