This meatball hero recipe became an instant favorite in my home from the 1st time I made them. They are out of this world! I make a huge batchj and put them in the crock pot to leave out when I am serving buffet style. they are great for big sporting events etc. You have to try them. When I am short on time I make up the meatballs and stop by my local family owned italian restaurant to get some already made homemade sauce to pour over them....... all you can say is WOW!

The meatballs turned out delicious. I used only ground beef, and a canned marinara sauce to which I added some red pepper flakes. Served open faced on crusty french bread drizzled with olive oil. Only change I would make is to add more bread crumbs - some of the meatballs were falling apart in the sauce.

We use this recipe just for the meatballs and pair them with homemade sauce and homemade garlic noodles. Wonderful!!!!

My husband's family is Italian so I spend a lot of time cooking Italian food. Giada does a lot of things right with these meatballs, but I did NOT like the onion in them, and I personally love onion. I recommend putting very little or no onion in these. And remember, just barely shape the meatballs into round balls-don't pack them too tightly.

I made these for my sons super bowl party. He wanted something different from the tradtional mexican. I also made chicken tenders to go with them so they had a choice of heros. It was great because I was aaable to get everything made ahaead of time. I just had to reheat the sauce and then put them on the club rolls and melt the cheese.

This is by far the most flavorful meatball I have ever had. To be honest, I enjoyed them even more without the sauce. I could savor the taste of meatball more. Kudos to Giada
