Great recipe!! The cake is delicious - very moist, and the chocolate icing is incredible!

These cupcakes were great! I baked the regular sized cupcakes rather than the minis, but cooked them for 40 minutes. They deflated a bit at the top, but no matter because the chocolate frosting covered it!

    1. Best chocolate icing I've ever had.
    2. My family loves these. They are the perfect treat - just a quick bite, not too rich.
    3. If you are complaining about sunken tops, perhaps you should check your oven temperature. Don't blame the recipe.
    4. I've made these twice, both with excellent results.

Awful...even after reading the reviews I still made them, should of listen. Mushy, bland, throw away. Sunken in tops just like the other posters mentioned, I even cooked them a extra 5 min...
Don't make these!!! go on line Ina Garden has a recipe that looks promising, although its made from scratch not a cake mix. Good luck...

They were excellent! Nice and moist! I made them twice already. The first time I actually used yellow cake and it still came out great! Used both chocolate icing and buttercream. Both tasted great!

I made thiese for my sons Halloween party at school. The kids and also my husband really loved them! My batch ended up making closer to 50 mini cupcakes for some reason ( wich was a nice suprise and I made my own frosting of 12oz of Betty Crocker chocolate frosting and one 8oz pack of cream cheese. YUMMY! :

Flavor was great and very moist. However, I made three batches (of 12 and every batch fell flat after being removed from the oven. The first two were done at the recommended time, the last batch was done at a little longer. I love the flavor enough to keep playing around to figure out the right amount of time. Thanks Giada.

Love the chocolate crean cheese frosting combined with the pumpkin flavored cupcakes. Not too sweet! right balance of sour and sweet! And quick and simple!

The cupcake batter was delicious! The chocolate frosting...not so much. It was waaaaay over powering and after trying to tone down the chocolate a bit with extra cream cheese & sour cream, I just gave up and used a can of cream cheese frosting I had in my pantry. It was much better. The cake was good enough to eat on its own though!
