Pretty good. I doubled the cooking time. Very, very, moist; reminded me more of a pumpkin pie filling. I ended up with 54 mini cakes (filling them 3/4 full. I will fill them up more next time. Also had enough frosting to frost all the cupcakes.
Don't like the fact that I have 1/2 box of cake mix left. I hope I don't waste it.

Giving these 4 stars only because I think next time I would use plain vanilla or yellow or even chocolate cake mix, everyone in my family but me thought they were delicious, however I found the french vanilla flavor a little too strong for me, I was hoping for more of the pumpkin flavor. Will be making these again with other kinds of cake options.

left off the coco powder, the frosting melts at room temp, I'm leaving out the sour cream the next batch, cupcakes moist I had to bake at longest time for them to set frosted easily.

Help! Was this recipe tested for 12 full size muffins that it said could be made. I just made my second batch. The first fell right away - are very dense and can not be frosted. The second batch I cut down the pumpkin and added a little more cake mix. They are a little better - they fell and appear dense, but at least I think I can salvage and frost them....they are for parents weekend at my daughters college tomorrow.

Made EXACTLY as the recipe calls. Used 24 mini muffin cups and made 2 batches. The frosting was a little bitter for me so I added a tablespoon of regular sugar and about 4 tablespoons of milk to smooth out the icing, Icing isn't too sweet, has a lot of cream cheese taste. Pretty tasty. Will make again for parties!

Yummy! Wonderful moist little gems...loved them! My family ate every last one! Have to make more! LOL...Nice to see Giada using her line of measuring cups and spoons from Target.. Does anyone know why the first rating is of someone trying to sell items that has nothing to do with the food network? They don't even rate the recipe..Please go to ebay to sell your stuff..

these were delicous!!! didnt change a thing, love chocolate so not to rich for me-BLAZ, yes you can make a cake instead with the recipe, just like if you see a cake recipe you can make cupcakes instead, they are interchangeable, cooking time may differ so use a tooth pick to see if they are done in the middle good luck!
