This meal was so delicious and smelled incredible while it was cooking. A tip-- you can buy frozen bread loaf dough. A bag of six is only like $3. We used one loaf for this recipe (we made a large calzone, rather than individuals so we're still good for five more dinners. Just take one of the loafs out, put it in a seperate bag to thaw in your fridge, roll it out, and you're good to go!

I tried this recipe to a tee and apart from being fun, it was also rather easy! The best part, besides the taste, was smelling the calzones being ready to take out of the oven - and when I opened the oven door, I took out the calzones and was soooo impressed by how PROFESSIONAL they looked. They looked even better than what I would have gotten in a restaurant. The only thing I would change is to try brushing the egg wash over the calzones before you put them into the oven. It will give the calzones a perfect golden brown color when they are ready to take out and serve. Also, you might want to add a very hefty amount of parmiggiano reggiano, as well as some salt, to the sauteed items.

The dough was difficult to work with. Our teenagers loved this meal.

This is a great recipe. It was easy and fast to make. My house guests loved the smell of me cooking, as much as the meal itself.

This recipe is absolutely wonderful, however if you don't have experience making pizza dough it could be a bit difficult. great for parties, and even tastier if you make it a bit more spicy.
