I usually prefer chocolate desserts but thought I would try this and it was AMAZING! Didn't use the star anise because I didn't have any and it was still so good. And easy! Perfect summery dessert.

Made this for dessert for a dinner party. Everyone's tastebuds exploded with happiness. Couldn't get a hold of fresh Raspberries, but I used frozen instead. It was magnificent.

The first time I made this soup was for my husband on Valentine's Day. Since then I've made this soup several times; it is always a great hit with everyone. Sometimes I serve leftovers heated with pancakes or french toast.

Easy, beautiful and delicious. And does anyone have info about the serving glasses? They're not listed on Giada's website. Wonderful dessert if you want to impress someone!

The mixed berry soup with gelato is excellent! It takes a little longer than stated but it is worth it. If you love ice cream and fruit than whip this recipe up. Just make sure that when you puree the mixture that you make it really smooth because it's hard to get the seeds and berries completely chopped up.

So easy to make. So easy to eat!! If you can't find gelato, vanilla ice cream works really well, too!!

I made this soup for a dinner party. The recipe is easy, the flavors are wonderful and the results got rave reviews, even from those who were not "cuisine adventurous" or thought fruit soup was not to their liking. Upon request, I supplied the recipe to all the couples present. Definitely a Do Again..OFTEN.
