Timing and temp were definitely way, way off. Taste though was AMAZING if you lower the temp and cooking time. My husband ate the whole batch by himself. Love it.

I have made this granola probably a half dozen times since I saw this episode Mother's Day weekend. I make mine exactly like hers with one exception - cooking temp and time. I bake mine at 400 for 6 minutes then take it out to stir it around, then back in for another six minutes. It has not failed me yet! As a matter of fact, I have some cooling on the counter right now! Always remember, that you will always need to adjust your temperature and cooking time for almost all of the recipes on here.

This recipe is perfect! I baked it at 300 degrees for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Then I removed the foil to countertop and spread granola out to cool completely before breaking up into pieces. It was perfectly crunchy and tasty!

    This is a great recipe!
I just made it and now it's cool and I'm munching it as I write this.
After reading the other reviews, I knew to turn the oven lower than stated. That was an unfortunate blunder, because the recipe is great. The butter, brown sugar and honey all add their yumminess, so it's got a great taste and after taste. Sometimes granola can have a kind of bitter after taste that is off-putting.
This is easy to put together, and uses ingredients I usually have on hand, so, as today, I can make it on the spur of the moment.
    Good job, Marcella's Mom!

This recipe was so easy. It was the first time I've made granola. Like practically everyone else stated I think the oven/cooking time was off. I followed the recipe and it got pretty dark brown and extra crunchy. It wasn't a complete loss and in fact tasted okay. The next batch I make I will use 300 degrees for 10mins and check it! I used chopped walnuts, too, so next I'll try almonds....and maybe dried blueberries. I like the extract idea!

My husband is from mexico. i am a horrible cook and hes amazing, since the show airred iv watched every singel one and bought her book, iv wowed my hubby thanx to you! oir fave is the chiliquiles and the chocolate flan cake, my husband loves honey and granola, and this came out awesome. I do agree with others the temp and time are way far off, we did 300 degrees for 10 mins and it came out perfect, the kids loved it as did my hubby, only complaint i have is most of your recipies differ somewhat from the show: thanx a bunch

Guess I should have read the reviews before making. Temp and timing was definitely all wrong. House smelled wonderful at the start but then turned to a burnt smell. Checked and yes my granola was burnt to a crisp. Will try again with some adjustments before rating. You definitely need to adjust your recipe!

Absolutely Fabulous! I did make minor adjustments after reading previous reviews and the results were excellent. My daughter took one bite and said, "Mom you're gonna need to make more!"

I baked it at 300 degrees for close to 40 minutes for perfect browning and crisping. I doctored it with an additional 1/2 cup of coconut (which didn't add a distinct coconut taste but probably contributed to the depth of flavor and 1 tsp. almond extract as well as the vanilla called for in the recipe.

Best granola I've ever tasted, forget the store-bought stuff, there is no comparison and this was EASY to make.
