This is the perfect way to bump up a football party, brunch menu or a delicious Italian lunch with some friends. The juices from the tapenade mixture blend with the vinegar and oil to moisten the bread that offer a wonderful kick with every delicious bite. The meats can vary according to your particular tastes. We used Honey smoked turkey along with some of the Italian meats and added some basil to the tapenade. Lots of possibilities. Make sure you remove enough of the Boule's insides though, because you could be left with too much bread when you are ready to cut. Also, make sure you cut off enough of the top, so that it won't keep falling off when you go to eat it. Enjoy!!

This sandwich is great for a lunch or
party. I substituted romaine lettuce
for the arugula and of course I made it on "Sarcone's" round bread. Perfect
for this recipe. Thanks for another
great recipe!

Great tasting, easy to prep, filling, satisfying, tasty and flavorful 'sandwich'
Although intially paying for the meats cheese, bread, arugula and olive seemedexpensive, I do think this is something that is going to be well worth while in the amount of lunches my husband and I have from it.
Great Recipe!

This recipe was great and easy to prepare.
Could you kindly suggest another type of bread instead of sourdough?

Not your run-of-the-mill Italian combo! Wonderful flavors were enhanced by letting it sit overnight. Easy to make. A party crowd pleaser.

My husband truly loved the combination of flavors. He made the bread, I put together the rest...a great joint effort.

I made these about a month ago to take to an outdoor concert. The group we went with had all been to New Orleans together a couple of years ago and had had the Central Grocery Muffs at the airport when we were headed home. We had all tried to find a recipe that mimiced what we had in NO but it was this recipe that finally made us believe we were back sitting in the airport in NO. Wonderful!!!!!
