I made this dish mainly for my wife since she is vegetarian. I used the sauce from a Bobby Flay recipe and my wife loved it. She is one that is picky with portobello dishes so this was a win. In addition, I thought it was great also

I love this and have made it 3 times already in the past week and a half since I discovered it. I use 1 portobello mushroom and cut the recipe in half. If you want less cheese than you can do it to your taste. I also add Italian seasoning,,cayenne pepper and crushed pepper. Obviously,,I love spicy food!!! Tonight,,I added freshly chopped habanero pepper and garlic powder. It is baking right now and my house smells amazing! I know it will be delicious like that as I've tried this recipe enough. Make sure you fully coat the mushroom with evoo and too much evoo is better than not enough (when in doubt. Also,,I do not have a grill so I grill on each side (inside foil covered with additional evoo for easier cleanup on each side for 5 minutes. Delicious!!!

Delicious! And so simple. I couldn't find the whole mushrooms so I just purchased the sliced portabello mushrooms. Since I don't have a grill pan, I fried them. And, I sprinkled a little Italian seasoning on top. I made this for my recipe club and it was a huge hit. Thanks Giada!

Cheese, mushrooms, marinara sauce. How can this recipe go wrong? It's so filling and delicious. I make it with baby bellas or white button mushrooms and serve it as a side dish instead of an appetizer. YUM.

Made this for tonights dinner. It was fast, easy and delicious! I added extra Marinara sauce and served it with a side of pasta and a salad. A great easy meal that fit right into my diet plan. I did not miss the meat at all. One note, the mushrooms absorb the olive oil quickly. Make sure you coat them well.

Yum! We did grill the shrooms more like 10 mins per side - first seasoning them with salt, pepper and garlic, with olive oil. We added homemade tomato sauce, italian seasonings and romano cheese.
