I read all the comments before making this and changed a couple things since I live in a small town with one main grocery store and limited in some items. I substituted spinach for arugula and grilled chicken for the seafood and omitted the eggplant and used one zuchinni and one summer squash. This was absolutely wonderful. The grilled vegetable gave this dish so much flavor. It is definitely a keeper!

Giada, you are so beautiful and so precious! I love your show, mostly, because of you. I can't wait to see what you wear each day! You have so much class! Your recipes are amazing dishes that I can prepare for everyday occasions! Thanks!

I made this a few months ago and it was awesome! I'm a vegetarian so I didn't have any of the seafood, but I cooked the seafood for my boyfriend and added it to his salad. Either way, w/ or w/o seafood... the veggies, the lemon juice, the orzo, and the arugula were sooooo tastey and fresh! I added some crushed red pepper flakes to my veggies as well because I like a little kick. And for the previous reviewers commenting on Giada's outfits, there's nothing wrong with what she wears.... commercials are far more revealing than anything she wears. Who cares if your son sees it? He's gonna see it one day anyway. Grow up and stop being jealous. Rate the meal, not her outfits.

I loved this dish. I actually couldn't find orzo so I used Ziti instead. It still turned out really good. Her recipes are the best!! Low in fat too.

I don't have a grill, so I roasted vegetables in oven, and sauted shrimp and calamari with little bit of garlic.

This is fabulous! Really fun to make too, if you enjoy cooking. There are a lot of steps/layers so its a mess to clean up, but fun to do and worth it. Lasts for days and is just yummy. I used my counter top electric grill to grill the veggies and shrimp, but used my grill pan on the stove for the squid because they are somewhat messy and didnt want to have that dripping down into my electric grill. I used spinach leaves instead of arugula and I thought it was fantastic.

I will make this because first of all I love most of Giada's recipe's and second just to upset Alyssa. Why do you care what she wears?

Thanks for the recipe, Giada. This is very tasty, and a nice twist on a fresh salad to enjoy almost anytime.
Wow Alyssa, you gotta hate it how Jody called you out on your spelling by making a misspelling of her own.
Jody, think about what you write, then if it's worth writing, do it accurately. If not worth writing or you can't do it accurately, put a sock in it.

Two of my favorite seafoods are shrimp and calamari. This was the most tasty dish I've had all year as to yet. You are one of my favorite cooks. I could watch you all day. As a matter of fact your show is the only one I don't mind watching reruns of. Keep us cooking all your great reciepes. And stay as beautiful as you are in anything you wear. I'm sure that ladys son has seen women who dress all different ways , She's just jealous.
