I followed the recipe like Aunt Raffy made it on the show instead of how it is described online... infusing the butter for both the rice and shrimp with a whole clove of garlic instead of mincing. I only used one pound of shrimp instead of two, but it still made enough for four people. It was delicious, easy and fast.

Had a few problems with this recipe, but I think it was mainly due to the few small changes I made. First of all, I cut the recipe in half, since only two of us were eating it, and there were still plenty of leftovers. My main issue was that I tried to use half and half instead of cream to cut back on fat and the half and half did this weird curdling thing with the lemon juice. Wasn't quite as creamy as I would have liked and the curdling didn't look too appetizing. I also did the rice in my rice cooker, but I did toast it in the pan with butter first, which worked pretty well. In spite of all that, the flavor was delicious. Served with broccoli on the side and garnished with chives. I'll definitely make it again, but I'll be using the full-fat cream next time.

This is the only way to prepare rice....for any dish! sooo tender! Keep in mind this recipe calls for a whole stick of butter...my hips aren't happy, but my belly certainly wasn't complaining. The sauce for the shrimp is quite simplistic. Sometime i add basil or veggies...or both

This was fair at best. I was hoping for something much better.

Really awesome flavor. Steamed some broccoli and put in the bowl on one side. Poured the lemony cream sauce over all and then sprinkled fresh chooped parsley on top. Original is great as is, but wanted to add some veggies.

This is absolutely delicious. The rice is moist and flavorful and the hot sauce gives it a nice kick. My husband actually said "Wow" when he first tasted it!

This was so good even my husband who doesn't like shrimp loved it. My two year old daughter who's a picky eater loved it too!

I love it!! It's so good, we ate it with fry crispy slices of green plantains, really a good combination with the rice and shrimps. Thank you Giada!!

Super tasty. I mean, DELICIOUS!! And there's so much room for modifying! My husband thought to try it over pasta and thicken the sauce a bit. YUM. I was trying Paula Deen recipes for a bit and everything I made by her came out awful. This is my first Giada recipe and its a home run!
