OMG - have made this 5 times in a row now - took cookies to work and were gone in minutes! I used Hershey's dark chocolate pieces (made it much easier and the dark choc set just perfect with the cranberries! Although had to play with baking time - better at about 12-13 minutes but prob depends on oven and I do cookies on parchment (use three times and then pitch- helps with not burning edges. Giada - ty so much - Got to be my new favorite cookie - Oh and I use a heeping cup of the chocolate and the cranberries for these measurements and cookies are perfect mix.
Made a batch with 1/2 cup of broken up walnuts and one with 1/2 cup coconut and both were a hit. I liked with the walnuts best.

These are very good cookies! My daughter who claims to ~hate~ oatmeal just can't get enough...lol, haven't told her! All I did differently was add a few pecans and made a nice little touch. I want to add that since the cookies are also not overly sweet it makes them even better! I will do these again...Grazie Giada e Tanti Auguri!

Watched her make these on her show (wasn't sure if I could make them like she did...they turned out wonderfully. Very easy recipe. My new favorite cookie!! I added a bit more chocolate than the recipe called for and they were delicious!!

I used quick cooking oats instead as a substitute because thats what I had available. I gave some to my father in law since he loves cookies but my mother in law ended up eating them. She was in heaven! Who could top that!! Loved them myself too. Thanks Giada for this wonderful cookie recipe.

Moist inside and crispy outside. These cookies are absolutely delicious. I made them on a whim Christmas Day with a crying newborn and a rowdy 2 year old running around the house and they came out so good. The recipe is simple and the ingredients are things you already have at home. The cookies are so good. Thanks Giada for another fabulous recipe!

Great cookies!!! They are huge and chewy and wonderful. The cranberries and chocolate are so good together. I love regular dried cranberries, but I used the cherry flavored ones in these cookies and like them even better. And the Ghirardelli bittersweet chocolate is just right. Thank you, Giada. This is going on my "favorite cookie" list!

I do not like oatmeal how ever I love Granola. So I got a box of Granola cereal and used it instead of oatmeal. I used semi sweet chocolate chips because thats what I had. This is going to be my favorite cookie. So easy and so good.

This is one yummy cookie. I used regular unsweetened baking chocolate, and the cookies were great! Best of all, this is by far the easiest cookie recipe I have ever made. The end product is beautiful! I cannot wait to share these with my family and friends!

My wife and I made these the day after seeing the show. They were one of the best tasting cookies we have ever made. We followed up a couple days later with another batch for the neighbors for Christmas. They will become an annual addition to our cookie staples.
