I sent these cookies to my son and his friends in Afganistan and they loved them! I'm sending them more!!! My uncle is diabetic so I also made some with splenda and they turned out great!

These cookies are what cookies should be...big, doughy and delicious! I have made them twice...first with semi-sweet chips and then with the Ghiradelli chocolate recommended in the recipe. Both varieties tasted great. Even my 16-year old daughter, who does not favor oatmeal cookies, loved them!

Do yourself a favor and make these cookies . . . NOW! They are so so so yummy. I despise raisins in my cookies . . . but these are one of the best cookie deserts I've ever made in my life! I couldn't find 60% so I used 67% and it is fine. I'm freezing half the batter and I really hope they turn out as well for next weekends desert. YUM!

My husband and I always battle over cookies. I like hearty cookies with oatmeal, raisins, chocolate chips, etc. He like basic chocolate chip. So, when I made these I new I was taking a chance. To my surprise, he loved these and now even requests them over the basic chocolate chip recipe we normally make. These cookies are awesome. I followed the recipe exactly except I don't have the ice cream scoop she says to use. I just use a spoon and roll the dough and then flatten slightly. The BEST cookies ever!

Easy to make and absolutely delicious......I added a slash of Trip-sec to get a little orange flavor and extra moisture....... But as others have stated, don't over bake....I took mine out in 13 min and let them sit on the baking sheet for 20 min.as Giada stated......They were perfect. Great cookie!!!!!

I just made these using spelt flour instead. I also soaked the cranberries in orange liquer overnight. Yum! But I wish I would have read reviews sooner. I too love nuts in cookies and don't know why I didn't think to add them. I am already planning on making again soon w/nuts. Thanks Giada!

I too was laying in bed when this episode came on, while my husband was napping my mouth was watering! As I watched Giada make these, the check list in my head was going off... I had all these ingredients! I baked these glorious cookies w/ out waking up my husband! Needless to say when I woke him up to the smell of homemade cookies, I totally got extra points!! These cookies were the first time I have ever made homemade cookies and they turned out soooo yummy!! Everyone that tried these agree'd! Oh, I also added walnuts to mine.. I love nuts in cookies!
