I liked the idea of serving this with endive for a lighter appetizer, but I was very disappointed in the tapenade. I expected more flavor and would probably not make this again.

I used Kalamata olives because I find black olives to be too bland. Although I really like olives, this dip just seemed a little too strong in flavor, as well as too heavy because of all the oil of the sundried tomatoes. It doesn't taste bad but I won't make it again.

This is so quick and simple, yet I found it to taste sophisticated and addictive! When I throw a dinner party, I want the appetizer to be simple so I can focus my efforts elsewhere. This definitely fits the bill!

I found this to be very bland. I added a few Kalamata olives, some chopped marinated artichoke hearts, and salt and freshly ground pepper. This made a huge difference in the flavor. I served it on homemade garlic crostini.

Great for ad hoc parties! Endive is a great replacement for too-filling crackers, bread, etc. Thanks for the great idea!!

This recipe is simple, easy and a great idea. Using plain old black olives from a can, not so much. This appetizer put my tongue to sleep, and my mind in a panic- I had made this for a party and now I had to figure out a way to give this dish some flavor before my guests fell asleep with bits of endive hanging out of their mouths.

I did, however, like the pairing of the endives with this dish. Next time I make this, I'm using olives with personality.

This is almost too simple! I love to cook and I resisted the urge to add anything to this recipe because I trust Giada implicity. Glad I did. Can't stop eating it now. Great with Cava, too. Best "emergency" appetizer ever! Thanks, G!

Well, the leaves are totally bitter. Not enjoying that. But the Tapenade is a bit better. I wouldn't say its "great" but it's okay. We've been dipping our crackers and veggies (from veggie tray (its thanksgiving today! and it's decent. Seems a litle metalic. But we're eating it.

This recipe was really easy but kind of bland. I added red onions, parm, and some garlic to spice it up. I think it would be great on grilled turkey sandwiches though.
