these turned out really good except instead of mixing the almonds inside the batter I sprinkled them on top before baking, but they were not as sweet as I had expected but still they turned out great

Just not my thing. Too much olive oil taste. My husband couldn't even eat one. Said it was like drinking olive oil.

I just made these and they came out delicious. I used cake flour instead of normal flour and soy milk instead of whole milk. I also didn't put any powdered sugar on them. I didn't think I was going to like it as I was making the mixture but turns out they came out fantastic!

These will become my go to muffins, they were easy to make and awesome tasting. They will be a perfect addition to my morning coffee and they are not too sweet.

I'm not sure if I got the texture right (probably had something to do with my oven temperature but the taste was very good! To me, because of the oil, it had this donut-like smell when first came out of the oven; yet it's very light in taste with the lemony citrusy aroma.
I made half the batch following the recipe and the other half without the almonds, topped with halved strawberry briefly soaked in powder suger and balsamic vinegar before baking. Yum! and cute looking muffins.

Really, really good. Will be a go-to recipe for entertaining or taking food to someone in need. I really love the crumb, texture, and flavor.

These looked so unique and got such good reviews I had to try them and I'm so glad I did. The balsamic vinegar really complements the sweetness of the sugar without overpowering it and the olive oil gives the muffins a subtle fruity, nutty flavour. Don't be scared give these muffins a try, just make sure you use a good quality olive oil.

These are FANTASTIC. I expected crazy things from this recipe (in a bad way, but oh, this is a keeper. I was so hesitant to dump in that balsamic vinegar, but am glad I did - it just rounds out the citrus flavor and you can't really detect it tastewise. I was also hesitant to fill the cups to the "almost-top," but it was perfect. Perfect sweetness, perfect muffin texture (fluffy but dense, slightly dry, NOT a cupcake. Can't say enough about these.
