My mother brought this recipe to my attention. We LOVE Giada...This recipe is simple, easy to make and oh my goodness so delicious and gormet. Way to go Giada. I can eat the whole pan!

One of the best cookie recipe i have tried in years. Iam not a baker either. I made them for Christmas and my family liked them.

Okay, I know everyone's ovens are different, but my cookies were done in 15 min. I left them in for 20 because I was afraid of undercooking. Please keep in mind if you have a dark pan, you should reduce your baking time. Also, they really should mention greasing your pan. I greased my nonstick and the cookie bars came out great.

My husband isn't crazy about orange or raspberry so I used cherry preserves. Like other viewers, I used about half the chocolate and half the nuts. It's all personal preference, but I do think all the chocolate would have been overwhelming. I had to add about 1/4 cup of milk (at least to get the chocolate to drizzling consistency. ***Add milk BEFORE chocolate is melted***

I also agree that the store bought dough has a strange taste and tons of preservatives. Home made dough would be much better and wouldn't take that much longer.

Overall, it makes for a great presentation that you can get REALLY creative with, as far as jams and nuts you prefer. It was a great idea, but like a lot of Giada's recipes (I hate to say it it looks much better than it tastes. I have yet to find a recipe of hers that doesn't need tweaking.

I made this and it was way too sweet. Maybe I put too much marmalade or should have used a low sugar one.

After a disappointing first batch, I determined that this works better if you make THREE separate 4x9 cookies instead of one big 12x9 cookie. You're going to cut it all up into pieces anyway. Pillsbury sugar cookie dough just wasn't designed to make one gigantic cookie; by the time the inside of a 12x9 cookie is cooked enough to hold together, the edges will be toast. Make three 4x9 cookies and bake at 350 for about 16 minutes; the rest of the recipe works fine if you do that.

It was VERY simple to make. I melted Hershey's Milk Chocolate Nuggets instead of chocolate chips and had no problems with the drizzle effect. It had the right consistency and worked beautifully. The look was fantastic and it tasted just how it looked! Yum! Can't wait to let my friends try it at the party tonight!

25 minutes IS too long to bake the cookie dough-at least in my oven. Came out too crispy. Too many nuts and too much chocolate melted. Use half the amount. And I too had to add milk to get it to actually drizzle. Frustrating recipe.

This one will be a go to recipe for me from now on. It is SO easy and quick and the cookies were so tasty.

I did find the chocolate a bit hard to drizzle so I added a pat of butter and a splash of milk to loosen it up and it worked perfectly.

I love chocolate and orange but will probably try other varieties of jam as well!

Disregard the high brow "I never use store bought cookie dough" vows of other reviewers, and take this recipe for what it is: a quick and easy bar cookie that is simple and satisfying. Bake for less than 25 minutes, try out some different toppings (I used sugar free raspberry preserves with great success and much less sweetness, and enjoy!

It looked great on Giada's show. My wife and I went immediately to work on it and made a pan full. The combination of flavors just didn't live up to the expectations. We're not even sure what to change to make it better. This is the first of Giada's recipes that we won't repeat.
