The muffins are wonderful with coffee in the morning. The receipe is confusing. I had to rewatch the video. My muffins mixture filled the 12 almost to the top. They do not rise plenty so worked out perfect. Fill 2/3+ full and use a 12 hole (recipe states 18 hole? muffin tin. Perfect muffins.

Very good and perfect for a brunch or breakfast muffin. One thing to note, in the episode Giada stated to fill muffing cups using 1/3 measuring cup, however, the recipe says fill them 1/3 full. This is the confusion..need to use the measuring cup and not fill to 1/3 full.

So many things were wrong with this recipe:
    - My almonds burned to smithereens in less than 3 mins in the oven, so I had to start over with them.
    - When I'd finished making the batter, it was like water, super runny, so I had to add a 1/4 cup extra flour to thicken it to a normal cake batter consistency. I also added some dried cranberries to liven up the muffins.
    - I had to fill each muffin cup up 3/4 of the way (instead of 1/3 to make them look half decent, which meant it only made 12 muffins, not 18.
    - And they took an extra 3 mins to cook in the oven.
    Overall, they're ok, a bit hard & doughy - I wouldn't make them again.

Very good. Light and slightly sweet. It's worth the small bit of effort to toast almonds. As one reviewer noted, these do not rise much, so I think it would be safe to fill slightly more than suggested. Another winner I'll make repeatedly.

Tried this recipe today and LOVE it!! It is a light delicate flavor so it may not be for everyone but for us it was hitting all the right notes!! For those desiring something a bit sweeter, I do recommend making a glaze of orange juice and confectioners sugar. For us, the sprinkling of powdered sugar was just right.

    very light, tasty and moist
easy to make, and perfect for a summer treat
I did not add the sliced almonds so my children could also enjoy
I would definitely make it again

This is a nice, not too sweet muffin. Has a slight consistency of cornbread. I ground my own almond flour in the food processor. I did add an orange flavored powdered sugar icing. Would make them again but fill them to 2/3 full instead of recommended 1/3, they don't rise much.

Delicious! I found the almond flour in the health food section of my grocery store. They were perfectly sweet! Even though I have a real sweet tooth, I would not put a glaze on them, only the powdered sugar as Giada recommended. Otherwise, they would be too sweet and the sugar taste would overwhelm the orange/ almond flavors. My son really loved them!
