I made this for dinner last night. My husband and I loved it. I made a double recipe and as other reviewers had suggested, used 1/2 of the pasta water called for in the recipe. I also threw in some fresh basil. Grilled chicken would be a great addition if you are looking for something a little more substantial. It took so little time and so little effort for amazing flavor!

Wonderful, wonderful. We are looking forward to enjoying this meal again!

This recipe was so perfect! I couldn't find the orecchiette pasta so I used bowtie pasta instead and was wonderful. The is one quick, easy, and delicious meal!

So good, and so easy! I added 2 T goat cheese and 3 T parmesan as we love cheese. Like others recommend, use less water. Fantastic recipe!

What a great idea for pasta! It was a wonderful mix of fresh vegetables and creamy cheese with the tanginess of the tomatoes. A quick vegetarian dinner that had lots of flavor!

I decided not to add the recommended water. The water from the pasta is enough. I thought it was a little bland, so I added about a tablespoon of balsamic dressing. Couldn't find the orecchiette pasta, so I used bow ties. The goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes were great!

I would omit the goat cheese and use blue cheese or gorganzola. The orecchiette was too bland for me. I used an elbow pasta instead and it was delicious!

I've used pasta water enough to know to eyeball it, and only ended up needing about 1/4 cup. Half a cup would be a disaster.

I think it works better if you put the "salad" on top of the hot pasta and toss rather than the other way around, that way, the lettuce wilts rather than gets soggy.

Also, by looking at the ingredients, I sensed it was going to need a bit of a kick, so I added about 1/4 tsp crushed red peppers, and that brought it to life. Next time, I'll reduce some balsamic vinegar to a glaze-like consistency and drizzle it over the top.

This is a great simple dish that's ready in a jiffy! I used whole wheat pasta shells instead of orecchiette - very yummy! Like other reviewers I would say not to add all the pasta water but instead add to taste. Thank you Giada!

Made this exactly as written the first time and definitely wished I had not added the full amount of pasta water called for. But I liked the ingredients combination enough to try it again, with much less water, just enough to warm the lettuce and soften the cheese. Delicious!

This salad is amazing, and even more amazing if you thinly slice some chicken, saute it in a little olive oil & butter, then deglaze the pan with white wine. Toss the pasta with it then pour it over the salad. Skip the water. Fantastic!!!
