This was really delicious. I've made it twice, and the first time I did not have the smoked salt and it was still pretty good. The last time I made it, I added the smoked salt and it gave it a whole new level of flavor. The tomatoes barely cook, so they give it a nice tangy, fresh taste. It is super easy to make as a weeknight meal. This one is going in the repeat file!

This was wonderful. I did use a mix of red, yellow and orange heirloom cherry tomatoes. I loved the tanginess from the vinegar. It was quick to come together. Picky non veggie eating teenagers loved it too!

This recipe ROCKS! It is simple, extremely easy and the taste is out of this world. Everyone I have made this for has asked for the recipe. The most difficult part of the recipe was finding smoked salt which I did at our local Whole Foods store. Plan ahead for the salt! I have had this with orzo & with other pastas and it is outstanding anyway you have it. I am trying it with quinoa next.

Made this recipe and it was a hit. BUT I changed a few things to fit my husband taste. First I use 2 different tomatoes, 1pt. red cherry tomatoes, and 1 pt. sun gold tomatoes(yellow are very sweet, than added a cup of basil, used liquid smoke about a 1tsp. since I didn't have any smoked salt. Than for a little crunch I add some small diced yellow and orange bell peppers about about 1/2c. to a cup. Also I reduce the cider vinegar to 1 1/2 Tbsp. and increased the honey to 1 1/2 Tbsp. it was the perfect balance for myself who like vinegar, and my husband who like things sweeter. Also chopped up a little extra basil on top.

After reading some reviews that the apple cider vinegar was overpowering, I reduced it to just 1 Tbsp. I am glad I did this because I think 2 Tbsp would have been a bit much. I can still taste the bite of the vinegar, which lends an interesting taste to the dish. Delicious though, I will definitely keep this around. Adding extra veggies, like asparagus, would be good!

I made this dish tonight using light grey sea salt (what I had besides table salt and it was delicious. It comes together so easily, too. I will look for smoked salt in Trader Joe's as per Barbara in Jersey's recommendation to have on hand for next time.

Made this today, I found smoked salt in Trader Joes for only $1.99 but the dish only tasted like regular salt. I put cooked chicken into the orzo with fresh parmesan cheese and it was delicious... I would make it again but would put some vegetables in it and use as a side dish
with something else, just not sure what else right now....... adding more smoked salt on your plate worked out and I tasted some of the smoke flavor.

I made this as is, except I mixed in some peas; I can't resist adding veggies into any dish! This is delicious--the smoked salt makes the dish, so it's worth buying. BTW, smoked salt is also great on baked potatoes!

Not one of Giada's strongest recipes. I think the vinegar is overpowering and it just was not tasty.

I thought this was very tasty. I added a little chopped arugala to give it more greens. I didn't have any smoked salt, so used regular ground salt. Turned out delicious. Would make again. Great for a light dinner with a salad. Yummm
