The gravy produced from this dish was wonderful, but the meat was so tough, we couldn't eat it.

Almost like what we have in restaurants and you can't believe it's so easy.

This was extremely tasty along with the roasted vegetables. The Osso Buco was so tender and full of flavor. My family loved it, I feel that Im an Italian cook being able to cook this fabulous dish. Thanks Giada!

My husband said that this dinner, along with your roasted vegetables recipe, was the best one I have ever cooked! Thanks so much for your continued track record of great dishes that are easy to prepare.

I just watched this episode and am anxious to try it. However, I don't want to use veal and would like to know from other viewers, what cuts of meat they have used. Some suggestions, please. I am wanting to use beef.

Made this one on a whim - always wanted to try to make it myself. I swear, I could just eat the sauce with a spoon it was so good. The veal shanks I found were not as thick as they should have been and so I didn't tie them up with a string as Giada recommended...so of course they fell apart. I'm thinking that I might try it with veal shoulder - but I'm one of those that just LOVES the bone marrow - and I think that this is what helps flavor the incredible sauce. Even though I am 100% Italian I never had this as a kid and only maybe tried it once or twice before in a restaurant. But I have to say - kudos, Giada, great recipe!!!
