This is fantastic-good stuff, I use Parmigiano Reggiano, extra zest to it. Yum

A fairly easy to prepare torte...wonderful and savory. However, I don't think the 1/8 teaspoon of salt in necessary when the pancetta is a salty meat. Pancetta is like Italy's version of bacon. If you're not a much of a "salt" person, I would leave the extra salt out of this recipe. Otherwise, the flavor is very good and the cooking results were as expected. The next time I prepare this dish, I'll leave out the extra salt.

picky little boy didn't have to be asked to clean his plate. made it for dinner but seems an easy breakfast for company. had to use bacon, no pancetta :( available. bought low sodium bacon and the salt measurement seemed perfect

Torte was just o.k. Too creamy for my taste. I will just stick to quiche

What can I say - works for me. I've tried a few minor variations to the recipe and all were great! Thanks!

I made this for dinner and everyone loved it! This dish is a definite do-over for special occasions!
I ended up using a frozen pie crust that i had on hand and it turned out great.
