I am very happy with this recipe...yes I did make changes but not enough to really change the recipe. I bought a loaf of Panettone that was Amaretto flavored. When I looked up recipes (remembering Giada had a recipe for bread pudding using Panettone I found this one with the Amaretto sauce. So I just made the sauce vanilla instead of Amaretto. I also cut the bread pudding recipe in half and added vanilla bean paste. Those are the only changes I made. So I kept to the recipe as much as possible. It's really delicious! I ate Panettone once and didn't like it. It was dry and tasteless. This loaf was quite the opposite and I am in love with the "stuff". LOL A most excellent recipe!

This is a very delicious and easy recipe. I made this for the second time for Thanksgiving this year and received rave reviews. The first time I made it, I didn't make the amaretto sauce and I added white chocolate pieces. The second time I made it, I still added the white chocolate pieces and I also made the amaretto sauce. I'm sorry I didn't make the sauce the first time because it is so good. This recipe is a keeper and will go into my recipe journal.

The first time I made this, I exactly followed the recipe. It was ok but a little bland. This time I added 1 tbsp vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Used a panettone that had pieces of Hershey's chocolate in it. All helped a lot. Also, didn't do the amaretto sauce. I made a simple caramel sauce which went really well. I'll continue to use this recipe because it's so much more simple than most of the other recipes I've seen.

I had to substitute with a hearty loaf of raisin bread as my grocery store did not have Panetone in stock. I will have to watch how often I make this recipe because I can eat the whole pan myself. It is DELICIOUS. I tried to thicken the sauce more, but still would have liked it a little thicker.

Very good. I make it for my wife once a week, she loves it. I cannot get panettone so I use just plain old Italian bread. I also back off on the sugar a little. I really just make the white sauce with a little vanilla extract and sprinkle cinnamon on to top of the mixture before baking.

Very good recipe but I think it was a little too sweet for me. I'd put less sugar and maybe not use all the custard...I prefer my bread to be a little more chewy and not as soft.

I am making this for Mother's Day on Sunday. I've made it at least 50 times, and I never get tired of it! Panettone Bread is hard to find where I live, they usually only sell it in the grocery stores around the holidays. But....I found a specialty shop in my area that has it all year! YEAH!!! I don't change a thing on the recipe, except just like everyone else, I double the sauce. I have yet to find someone who doesn't like this!!! Thanks Giada....you Rock!

This is really good and everyone loved it but a little eggy. Maybe one or two less eggs. The sauce is fabulous!

Oh my word!!! This is fantastic!! I have used this recipe so many times I almost know it by heart. It is truly a keeper. This is so easy to throw together and everybody is always asking me to bring it. Especially at Christmas time. When changing it I use a cinneman swirl/ raisins what ever today I am using a blueberry swirl bread. I have grated a little orange into it. Its great. I always double the sauce.
