Absolutely decadent! This is the best dessert and I have been asked to make it again this year. I even have out of town friends that are begging me to freeze some for them. You will not be disappointed. If you love bread pudding, this takes it to a whole new level you never even thought possible.

Wow!! I make this every Christmas and it is gone before you know it. The taste is so creamy. I could eat the whole thing myself. I forward the receipe to others when I tell them about it.

I made this yesterday "Jan. 2010" for breakfast for my husband and sister-in-law along with the usual eggs and bacon. Very easy to make and tastes incredible!! The sauce is super easy to make and definitely worth making. Also tastes great the next morning! Another winner from Giada!

Follow-up: I have made this recipe at least 10 times now, and it's always a hit!!!! I actually made this using Colomba Pasquale after the holidays, an Italian Easter bread, and it was also very delicious. It's so easy to make, but does take a little time to measure out the ingredients. Thanks Giada!

This has become a household staple. Want to "fancy" it up? Add some figs and dark chocolate chunks. Now it is decadent. Thanks Giada for another great recipe!

OMG! I was also wondering what to do with the pannetone gifted from Italian friends b/c my family doesn't really like to eat it plain. I used Giada's recipe, but "took it up a notch" by adding sliced apples b/f baking. I took a double batch to a potluck party, and it was gone in about 2 seconds to rave reviews. I was the hit of the party and everyone kept asking me for the recipe and said it was the best dessert they'd every had, fit for the gods. I just asked "heh, don't you watch Giada?" Thank you Giada, you're the Italian Bomb!

Thanks from me and my entire family for this perfect recipe. I can't imagine how anyone would want to change one thing. Everyone who eats this bread pudding raves about it, and I personally feel it's the very best dessert I have ever had. (This is coming from a dedicated chocolate addict. You take a bite of the bread pudding and think nothing could be more wonderful, and the next bite, you dip into the glorious sauce and before it even reaches your lips, the aroma has already wafted you half way to the doors of heaven. Thanks so much to Giada and her bountiful heritage.
