MADE THIS LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR FOR CHRISTMAS AND IS A BIG HIT.
I SERVE BOTH THE PUDDING AND SAUCE WARM AT DINNER. I JUST LOVE IT. I USED REGULAR RAISIN BREAD INSTEAD OF THE PANETTONE AND IT IS JUST FINE. OH I ALSO PUT A SPLASH MORE OF AMARETTO IN THE SAUCE ITS GREAT.

The recipe was very easy and very delicious! I had to add more cornstarch than the recipe stated to thicken the sauce, but it turned out great.

Christmas morning I looked at the 2 pounds of Panettone and thought "how are two people going to eat all this." I went to the "Food Network" and found this recipe. Unfortunately I did not have any Amaretto so I substituted Grand Mariner but reduced the amount by about 3 Tbs and add fresh squeezed orange juice instead. I ran short of whipping cream for the sauce so I added eggnog. Everything came out fantastic! I knew there was no way 2 people could eat all this wonderful dessert so I shared it with my neighbors. They all have called me and asked for the recipe. Thank you for sharing your fantastic dish.

You made me look like a star! Thanks. I only had 7 eggs in my carton, so that's what I used. It turned out perfect. I did have a 2# Panettone, but used only 1#. Could I have used the 2# with the same result?

I have made this many times and my sister in law always requests it. I use all milk in the pudding recipe...tastes just fine and is easier.

I have made this the last 2 years and am planning on making it again this Christmas. It is such a simple recipe and easy to make but tastes like something that would be served in a 4-star restaurant. Thanks Giada.

I have brought this to my book club Christmas party for the past 2 years and it was a huge hit, even with the most discriminating tasters! I am planning to make it again this year and am so looking forward to it! It is very easy to make. I found panettone at Whole Foods and at Costco.
