Ok, this has to be one of the easiest dessert's I have ever made. Stuck to the recipe, but did add some homemade whip cream along with the syrup. Both my Kid's and Boyfriend loved it. That is saying something as neither of them normally care for Bread Pudding! I will be making this dish every Christmas! Thank you Giada!

This recipe was easy to make and tasted delicious. I did not make the syrup as I served it with whipped cream. I also added ground cinnamon and Grand Marnier to the batter...delicious! I am tempted to make another one today.

I have watched Giada make this several times and this year I made it for Christmas morning brunch. So worth it! This bread is not that expensive and is certainly easy to find at the holidays- Homegoods, TJ Maxx and a lot of grocery stores now carry it. I was short on whipping cream so used 1c cream and 3 cups half and half. Turned out perfect and 45 minutes worked in my oven. The syrup, which I made the day before is so easy and oh so good. Don't leave out this step and you will get rave reviews!

The only panettones I saw at the store (Trader Joe's were 750g (about 1lb 10oz, not one pound loaves. The recipe worked perfectly with this larger loaf. It was easy to put together and tasted great.

This is a very luscious, fragrant dessert. The citrus aroma when you open the oven door is amazing. Surprisingly, it is a nice and light dessert . . . a perfect finish to a holiday meal!

This was the best. Very rich. I also made another with half Panettone and half Brioche bread. It was just as delicous but not as rich. I would make this again.

    Giada,

I made this recipe this morning for Christmas breakfast. It was fabulous! The addition of the cream to the syrup at the end was to greatest. Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo!
