    I tried this sandwich because my 2 year old daughter loves grilled cheese sandwiches, so I thought on a Saturday afternoon that I would make her a liitle something different. I was a little worried that she wouldn't like the fresh basil, but she ate every bit of it. My family loves this sandwich and it is so simple to make we enjoy it on a regular basis. IT'S YUMMY!

    I made this dish along with the Panino di Prosciuttoe e Fontina for dinner for my kids. They loved trying the panino meals from Giado de Laurentis.

    I just finished my panino and it tasted wonderful! The smokiness of the prosciutto really kicked out.
    I didn't have a panini press so I used my George Foreman grill. Worked great!
    This was my first panino alla margherita and I believe I will be making this quite often.

    I tried this recipe with sourdough on my countertop george foreman grill and it was SOOO GOOOOD!!! I thought it might be boring, but it was so crunchy and tastey! I will be making this one very often!!
