The Brie cheese gives the sandwich a creamy texture. It was great.

I used leftover roast beef and added a little dill mayo. This sandwich is tasty. I look forward to making it with beef filet.

I love that Giada has been freed from just doing Italian food. Her recipies are easy and interchangable. I made this with all the same ingrediants, but plated it on a piece of puff pastry with a side of Garlic mashed potatoes and some gravy. HUGE HIT in my household!! Thank you for making me a cook Giada!!

I made these for my husband and I and they were delicious. We especially liked the Brie. I want to make them again next week!

My family loved these sandwiches. My husband and I followed the recipe, while the kids chose cheddar cheese and one added caramelized onions. Such an easy meal that pleases everyone is a real keeper in my book. While the filet mignon was delicious, I could see serving this with flank steak (appropriately sliced, of course. I really appreciate recipes that lend themselves to creativity and versatility. This one succeeds. PS - make some homemade balsamic vinaigrette and serve it on the leftover arugula - instant side salad.

    This was a wonderful recipe
My husband loved it. He was very full after one sandwich.
It can be use for brunch or dinner. He said he can wait to have it again.
I thought thast it was going to be a disaster. I've never had brie with steak before, it was excellent. I substitute the filet mignon for new york strip, it was very tender. I strongly recommend this recipe

I am used to eating cuban steak sandwishes, and this was a refreshing alternative. The only differance to the igredients above was that I seasoned the steak with lime, complete seasoning, and fried it in a bit of butter and olive oil. The croissants was purchaed at Costco along with the roasted redpeppers. I added a lettuce and brie cheese. Giada did suggest in her program to purchase good croissnats. I think this makes a differance. I strongly recommend it with a glass of wine.

Maybe if you are in Paris and can get the right ingredients this would be great. Here, it is not the same. The croissant was not thick enough to hold up this sandwich. A crusty french bread would be better. This just was ho-hum for my husband and myself. I would definetely not make this again.
