I made only half a recipe and it was 5 star. It is excellent. I didn't have any fresh basil so I just grabbed a small handful of dried (that I dried myself so I could visualize the amount it would be if I had used fresh. I also used jared garlic.

Simply stated, a wonderful combo. My husband was able to squeeze more water out of the potatos than I. In addtion I added just a little more cheese than the recipe called for

This recipe was a fantastic take on the traditional latke. I have to say that you can't wring the potatoes out enough...it's worth the effort and be patient. I cheated a little and added a little matzoh meal and a egg for a binder. Another A+ for Giada. I made this on christmas morning and got raves from the fam.

I tried this recipe on Christmas morning and I followed the recipe exactly. I made sure to squeeze out all of the excess water. It didn't taste as good to me as I was expecting it too. But my boyfriend and everyone else thought it was a great hit. My auntie suggested more salt. I think this is one I'll try again and maybe even add some cooked bacon or mushrooms to it.

The Parmesan Potato Pancake turned out great! For two of us, I used 3 potatoes and substituted shallots for onion and dried basil for fresh basil. It was delicious! I had no trouble flipping the pancake or with uneven cooking. I followed the directions and it turned out perfectly great! Thanks Giada!

I was nervous about making this after reading the reviews. It turned out perfect. The only way you will have problems with it is if you don't get alot of the water out of the potato or if you don't use a non stick pan. It was very good. my family loved it

Im eating the potato parmesan pancake as i write this review.

I squeezed out all the water from the potato as best i could, yet its still soggy. The cheese and potato and basil to me is not a good combination of flavors. This dish was too expensive for something not too tasteful. Reccomended to buy hashbrowns rather then to spend 50 mintues cooking this.

We really enjoyed this recipe. It was easy and all of the flavors tasted wonderful together. I made it for dinner with a salad on the side and it was perfect for a quick and easy meal.
