This pasta was great. I used Mezzemaniche which are small Rigatoni. My breadcrumbs were not as crunchy as I would have preferred but still delicious!
I used a combo of Italian panko and traditional bredcrumbs. I am not one to make a lot of changes to a chef's recipe, but I think if had cooked the tomatoes in a bigger shallower dish, the breadcrumbs might have been crunchier. If you use the 8 x 8 the juices of the tomatoes overwhelm the breadcrumbs....just a thought. Also, make sure to rinse the capers.
Over all it was amazing. My picky teens loved it. I served it with a panko and parm breaded pork cutlet...My 16 year said it was the highlight of his day.(second day back to school
Make this. It is a taste of Sicily at home!

We are always looking for great vegetarian dishes, as we try not to eat meat everyday. It's like a tomato gratin on top of pasta...super yummy and flavorful with ripe tomatoes. Its nice to not use canned tomatoes all the time also :.

Excellent and simplistic pasta dish. The tomatoes roasted with the capers were very sweet with a briney bite to it. The only thing that might need adjustment would be the breadcrumbs. They did tend to get soggy and mushy and got lost in the dish. Besides that, it just burst with flavor and left everyone at the table satisfied.

Made the dish, took the first bite and knew my family would not like this dish. I was right. They asked me what we had at home to make sandwiches with.

This pasta is so easy and tasty. I halved the recipe and served it as a side dish. I had none left. Delicious.

I made this for my family last night, and everybody LOVED IT. I think that the breadcrumbs still tasted delicious after absorbing all of the tomato flavors in the oven, and mixed in with the cheese they made this pasta warm, gooey, and delicious. I did use some garlic instead of capers though, but it was still fantastic. Will definitely be making this again!
