WOW! I LOVED this recipe! This is probably one of the easiest dishes I have made in a long time, and by far, one of the most flavorful! Roasting the tomatoes bring out so much additional sweetness to the already sweet grape tomatoes. I definitely recommend using Italian-sseasoned Panko breadcrumbs, as they add a bit more texture. I did follow BarbeeDough's advice by adding a clove of garlic to the pasta water. I'm not sure if it added additional flavor, but it definitely didn't hurt! I am usually more of a Parmesan over Romano fan, but let me tell you, the Romano cheese works BEAUTIFULLY here. This recipe is 100% a keeper. Thanks, Giada! :o

Very tasty and easy. Except for using basil instead of parsley since my daughter does not like parsley I followed the recipe. My husband suggested making it again with olives instead of capers since he does not like capers. I'll definitely give that a try.

It's a hot summer day so running the oven wasn't ideal. Toasted the breadcrumbs first and set aside and then roasted the tomatoes & capers in a sautee pan and added the breadcrumbs on top once it was in the bowl. Delicious!

Really great pasta dish. I added some sauteed chicken breast to add protein. Also added some minced garlic to the tomatoes before roasting. Next time will try with fresh basil instead of parsley at the end.

So easy! You can add just about any veggie to the tomatoes too. I added a zucchini and yellow squash and it was lovely. This is one of those recipes I'll use again and again.

Better if you toss the cheese prior to adding the tomato mixture. Also, you can use olive oil instead of pasta water at the end.

I sent my dad shopping for me, and he came home with shriveled tomatoes, and really cheap mozzarella rather than romano, and the recipe was still delicious, and proved itself to be fool proof. A great recipe to play with ingredient substitutions.
