I can only imagine what went work with "YUCK's" dish. This recipe was FANTASTIC! My first suggestion is to be sure that the pancetta is really well browned they follow the recipe as written. This is a keeper!

We make a lot of spaghetti sauce with pancetta and decided to try this. I think the combination of the pancetta and the cheese was just off or something. It smelled awful and tasted even worse. All my ingredients were fresh, except for the canned tomato puree, which tasted o.k. with the pancetta, but once I added the cheese it was horrible. I didn't even eat it and my boyfriend thought it wasn't very good either. Definitely not making again. I am not sure what we did wrong based on all the good reviews??!!

This is one of my favorite recipes to pull out. Its quick, easy, and delicious! It's great for a romantic dinner, and quick enough for dinner on a weekday. Everyone that I know that has tried this, fell in love!

I have been making this meal for my husband for about a year now and its one of his number one requests! Its very flavorful and the pancetta makes it! You also can't go wrong with Pecorino. Just be careful on salting, the pancetta and cheese have a lot of salt in them already. Thanks Giada for another great pasta dish!

I just made the sauce portion of this recipe, only skipped the pancetta. I instead added some mushrooms to the sauce. Very tasty. It's a nice sauce with a solid kick to it.

I thought this was delicious. The hubby and kids liked it too but the hubby thinks he needs big chunks of ground beef or sausage in his sauce. This was my first experience with pancetta and I loved it. I didn't have any problems with it being too salty, I kept having to add more. I'll make it again.

My husband and I loved this recipe!! I did not have time to hunt down pancetta, we don't have a local meat shop and our Walmart and Kroger does not have it , so i just used meaty bacon. It was sooo easy and so good, a nice change from regular spaghetti!!!! If you use bacon double the amount she uses for pancetta.

I knew when I read the recipe I would need to saute the onions and pancetta with some anchovies - 2 or 3 (packed in olive oil. I simply cannot make tomato pasta sauce without anchovies anymore - they make a huge difference and add so much flavor! Do not salt until sauce is done - the anchovies can be pretty salty - plus I salt my pasta water pretty liberally. Caught a couple of my guests wiping out the pasta sauce pan with their Italian bread! Great last minute go-to recipe....
