The pasta dish was super fast to make. By the time the pasta was finished cooking, the sauce was done! I really liked it.

I made this dish for the first time last week. As with any new recipe, you have to allow a margin of error. Novice cooks will usually follow the exact recipe, while more experienced cooks know any dish made for the first time will automatically need adjustments from the original recipe. I love homemade sauces (they are easy & MUCH healthier than store bought & this one is so easy and fast - I had dinner done in 20 minutes! I used fresh herbs vs dried and I also added some sugar to the sauce while cooking it and doubled the carrot & pea amounts. I used just about all of the water from the pasta in my sauce. I would serve a meat as well, especially for the men in your life! Overall I think it's a great recipe, don't be afraid to experiment! Happy Cooking ;

I made this dish and thought it was really good! As for some of the negative reviews you just have to have "cooking common sense" I know that I don't like certain herbs and I know the potency of certain herbs so I adjust accordingly. I used fresh Italian parsley and added a pinch of Italian seasoning. I thought this was perfect, healthy and quick which matches my and my boyfriend's college lifestyle perfectly!

I used fresh tomatoes (rather than the paste and extra Romano. It was delicious! Be sure to add the pasta water or it will dry out.

I thought this recipe was very good. I always loved the combination of pasta/peas. I used fresh herbs and in place of the carrots I used fresh crimini mushrooms. Top it off with fresh grated cheese and fresh basil - delish!

My husband and I really did not like this recipe. It was easy and quick to make, but it had a flavor mix that just didn't go. The shallots, garlic, herbs, and tomato went fine together, as one might imagine, but the peas and carrots were not good for the mix. They seemed to be thrown in, just so there were some vegetables. I typically like Giada's recipes, but I will definitely not make this one again.
