This recipe was so easy and fast! (I remembered all of the ingredients and how to prepare them without even printing or writing down the recipe! Giada is a genius to use the pasta water to "thin down" the tomato paste. What a delicious, fast meal. It actually only cost about $8.00 for all of the ingredients. I liked it so much, I made it two nights in a row!

This recipe was wonderful and so easy. The only thing I did different is add a tsp of crush red pepper flakes to give it some zing. It made a perfect side dish to parmesan crusted baked chicken breasts. Thanks Giada.

This is an example of a perfect recipe which is literally "fool proof" if you simply follow the directions. Giada definitely delivers on this one. This italian dish is tasty, colorful, and very authentic. Terrific as either a first course or main dish. A real crowd pleaser, to be sure. Using the water from the pasta was an easy way to get the right consistency for the sauce and this can be done gradually so that the right consistency can be achieved.
No one will be disappointed with this dish. Just rememember when you initially cook the shallots, garlic, and carrots to let them cook until the carrots are softened appropriately. After that, even I could not mess up this recipe.
    Thanks Giada.

My husband loved this dish.. very easy to cook...the first time I made it, I accidentally used Tomato sauce instead of tomato paste, but it still came out wonderfully!

this is a simple recipe, that is good when you dont what else to do, or need to use up some leftovers.

This dish is a bit bland. I had to put some cayenne in it to jazz it up.
All of Giada's other recipes have been great, I guess she gets to have a dud here and there.

Made this recipe and it looked nothing like the show. I went back and checked and the recipe is wrong. It's more like 1 Tablespoon of Tomato Paste than 5. Check for yourself.
