I really liked the flavor of this dish. So did my husband. will definitely keep this recipe. Still new to cooking but if i could make food like this every night, i would never go out to eat.

I liked it, but DO NOT use tomato paste, use crushed tomatoes.

My boyfriend and I made this last night and it was terrible! The thyme totally overwhelmed the dish. We ended up making a white wine sauce for it and that helped but it just wasn't good! The carrots were really crisp which I usually like but they just didn't go with the dish. We won't make this again!!

I felt it was edible but didn't have the truly good flavors I was looking for. I did make it with whole wheat pasta, which I don't think translated well.

A great combination of flavors, light & very good. We enjoyed this with some bread sticks and a salad. Also a great recipe to make when you need to make something quick. Thanks Giada, you truly are a credit to your profession

It doesn't look anything like the picture. Adding tomato paste makes pasta look more like a marinara. Flavor was deep and delicious from creating a strong base with garlic and shallots. Also added crushed red pepper for further dimension of flavor. Didn't have dried parsley so used dried basil instead....very good. Be mindful of reserving water. I needed all of the 2 cups and could probably have added more.

This is not a strong flavored recipe. It is light and delicous and a welcome change to having a heavy load of sauce on top of your pasta. Anyone I serve it to cant seem to get enough!

Super fast to make, and my husband loved it! Make sure you have good quality chesses and spices because it makes all the difference. I liked it because I don't usually like to bite on the onions, but the taste of the shallots was just perfect. Will surely make it again

This was fast and easy to prepare. My husband said, "I can eat this, but I wouldn't ask for it." We would both prefer regular marinara sauce.

My family LOVED this - especially considering how easy and cheap it was! It's a great pasta dish that doesn't leave you feeling stuffed. We used the frozen peas & carrots mix because that's what we had. Great pantry meal. We tossed in some left over grilled chicken and it was on the table in no time. Next time I am going to make 1/2 the pasta, as recommended by others. Thankfully we liked the recipe because we ate it for days!!
