Very good poundcake. You will not use all of the caramel sauce, so read the recipe carefully. I had to bake the cake an extra 15 - 20 minutes. This is a very rich poundcake, but worth every calorie.

This cake was a great success and really easy to make. I was afraid it might be too sweet, but because of the ratio's of the ingredients, it is not too sweet at all. I will definitely make this again.

As far as the cook time; I had to add 10 minutes, making a total cook time of 1hr 10 minutes. After the cake cooled, it actually didn't collapse that much in the middle.

    Perfecto!!

My husband and I saw this and he couldn't wait for me to make it. Luckily I had all of the ingredients. But it didn't turn out right. Not only did it spill over the edges of the pan it was jiggly in the middle so I had to cook it a lot longer. Then the spillage set fire in my oven! It did fall in the middle after I removed it from the oven but it tasted burnt from spillage. I'm trying it again today so we'll see...

After I saw the episode I went straight to the store to get caramel to make this cake for the Super Bowl. It didn't disappoint! Great texture, great taste. The recipe warns that the center will fall as it cools. Indeed, mine cratered. Consider the crater a basin into which to pour more of the sauce. Will try again and see if I can get it to stay more upright...but who cares?

The caramel sauce was the bomb! I had issues with the cake though. When I checked it at 55 minutes, the cake was still very jiggly in the middle so I added 10 more minutes. When I tested it with a toothpick, the center still had a lot of mix so I checked a couple of other spots and they were fine, so I took it out to cool. It looked great but after is started to cool, the center fell in. I don't know what I did wrong but will attempt again. The taste is awesome, hence the 4 stars.

I made this for Superbowl and it was excellent. I followed the recipe exactly. I definitely recommend leaving it to bake for the full time because it is very moist. I served it with vanilla ice cream and left over caramel.

I watched the show this morning and knew I had to make this cake. I used the Kraft Caramel Bits and half n half. The sauce tured out great. As for the cake when I read the recipe I knew the sugar would be way too much. I reduced the sugar to 1/3 cup and it turned out perfect. My boys who are 2 and 4 loved it!
