I made this recipe last night and loved the fact that I had all the ingredients on hand. I read the reviews before making them to see what needed to be adjusted for better PB flavor, etc. I live in high altitude and know that I have to adjust any baking recipe. So I added about 1/4 cup more PB than the recipe calls for - just in case. But my dough mixture was crumbly - why?! Maybe a little bit more PB next time? I used the ice cream scoop to form cookie balls, dipped in sugar and flattened them out for the second batch, the first batch did not spread out on the cookie sheet at all, so they ended up looking like ice cream scoop shaped cookies. Overall, the cookies were delish! Any recommendations for my 2nd go around as far as the dough is concerned?!

That was my only complaint when I am done baking this. Then I found out that I did not enough ingredients to make some more...hahahhahaha That's what happened when you baked around midnight.

I am not a fan of peanut butter cookies, generally, but who can resist peanut butter and chocolate together. The addition of blackberry hit the nail on the head. AND the recipe is easy to work with, even my husband couldn't mess these up! I can't wait to make them for the holidays. Thanks Giada for another great one! Please keep up the shows coming.......Paula in Ohio

This cookie not only looks good it tastes great. You must leave the cookie, as directed, in the pan to cool for a full 5 min. or they will fall apart. I used a mixed berry jam instead of blackberry.

My boys and I absolutely LOVED these cookies! I've tried many peanut butter cookie recipes in the past and have gotten sticky dough. This dough was so easy to work with and using an ice cream scooper to make the cookie was a great idea. I used rasberry preserves, which tasted great. Any jelly/jam/preserve will do. I would probably make a little larger hole in the middle and add more jam next time. Love your recipe, Giada!

Only changed the size to a smaller one, reduced the cooking temperature to 365 for 12 minutes, and chilled the dough for 20 minutes before shaping and baking. This made them stand up to look more like Giada's. My first batch was not chilled and they spread out a little too much for my taste - that's why I tried chilling the dough. I also think the sugar could be reduced slightly next time. I made one batch with the cocoa and one batch without it, adding 1.3 cup extra flour to make up for the cocoa being left out -it really did not need the extra flour and I will not add it next time. BOTH kinds were fabulous! This now replaced my husband's favorite cookies! He even helped put the preserves in them (we used boysenberry preserves which is his favorite jelly. I will have to quadruple the recipe next time if we want to give some to the neighbors - a tradition in our neighborhood is to share baked goods with our neighbors on our street! Thanks to Giada for this great recipe!

These cookies were very easy to make. I also made the cookies smaller (about 1/2 the size Giada does and they came out perfectly! I had huckleberry jam which was really wonderful in these cookies. I think any good quality jam would taste great.

Has anyone tried doubling this recipe? I would like to as I am having to hide them from the kids before they eat the entire batch I made today!
