they were delicious! the only problem, like others said, was that it didn't stay together,so i crumbled it up and used it as granola instead. the flavor though was fantastic!

These should not really be called granola "bars" since they do not stay in bar form. They are very soft and fall apart after a second of holding them. Very tasty though... better crumbled on to of yogurt or ice cream. These do not travel well and were difficult for my 3 year old to eat.

I loved this recipe, it was super easy and tasted great! I only used about 1 tbs of butter after reading the reviews and it worked out perfectly. It was a bit crumbly so next time I make these bars I am going to add extra peanut butter to hold it together better.

I just made these granola bars exactly as the directions stated. Although they are still warm, I couldn't help sneaking a taste. They are very soft, so I can understand why people decided to reduce the amount of butter. Having said this, I believe these would make a wonderful dessert if you took a scoop of hot or warm granola mixture and topped it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with either raspberry sauce or chocolate sauce. Yummm.
I am sure once they are completely cooled, they will harden up a little, but not quite what I was expecting. Not bad, just not what I expected from a granola bar.
I will make these again because they were simple and my two little boys enjoyed helping dump in the ingredients. Now that they are getting older (2 .5 and 3.5 I like to try in include them in our meal preparations.

Addictive!! I've made this recipe a couple dozen times already!
I only use 1 tbsp of butter and it still tastes great. A stick of butter makes it more like oatmeal cookies, not granola bars.
I also cut the brown sugar to 1/4 cup.
You have to press it down hard while covered with wax paper or parchment paper, then remove it. I use the bottom of a measuring cup (1-cup size and then bake it for 20 minutes. Refrigerate until cool, cut into bars, and that seems to hold it together perfectly. There are some crumbs, but that's the best part of getting to cut them!
I have gotten my whole family hooked on these bars and they make them weekly! We absolutely love them and can't stop eating them! Surprisingly, we haven't gained any weight. I don't feel guilty eating them after making those small changes.

These granola bars have a great flavor. The whole family loves them. They do tend to fall apart. I decreased the butter and increased the baking time a little bit after reading other reviews. Wrapping them individually and putting them in the freezer seemed to help them stay together.

I love recipes that are easy enough for my kids to make with just a little help. They like to do everything themselves with little help and these are it. My kids loved these. Had a hard time getting them in the oven. Will be making these again.

I only had to bake these bars for an additional five minutes and followed the recipe exactly. The taste was fine but they were on the crumbly side. No need to make these bars again.

I really enjoyed these, but replaced 1/2 cup of the oats with whole wheat pastry flour. Its not the traditional granola method but they held nicely, and the texture is great. Definitely will make them again.

I made these last night with my 8 yo son we used walnuts (that's what my guys like and we added dried cherries and coconut. They are a huge hit, my son took some to grandpa's house with him this morning to share his work :- I did have to put them back in the oven for a bit longer, next time I'll leave them in the oven after I turn it off.... but otherwise perfect!!! These will be a constant around this house, Thanks Giada!!!!
