I made this using apple butter instead of making the fig jam and it is unbelievable! Even my son loves it!

I made this recipe for a couple of girlfriends and it turned out just as good as everyone said!!! I used Parmesean cheese and it was a perfect substitute for Pecorino Romano. I sliced my baguette very thin, toasted them in the panini grill and cut them in half again for bite size pieces! Delicious!!!!

Not that this recipe needs any more great reviews...but when I tasted this I shouted: "You have got to be kidding me!" How does she come up with one recipe better than the next? I love figs and I love crunchy and salty...it all comes to fruition with an explosion of flavor in your mouth. You go Giada! You're the best!

I saw Giada prepare this yesterday, and decided to give it a try, and what a cool and quick little treat. I made it three times today, once for a breakfast appetizer, then as a side for lunch, and then a little afternood snack. It's also very energizing too with the apples and cheese providing tons of nutrients and vitamins!

I love making appetizers that go beyond "Chips and dip" or a "cheese platter". I've made these twice for parties, and everyone wanted the fig jam recipe. These were gone in a second, and I made extra jam which was also delicious on sandwiches. I love fig, so this was delicious, but if you have someone who isn't crazy about fig, it might be too much for them.

I am sorry to be the nay-sayer, but none of us cared for this. It was much better without the jam on it. We tried that once it wasnt dissapearing as is. But even then, we had to throw out much of it. Will not make again

So easy to make, attractive, colorful presentation and absolutely delicious. They disappeared very quickly and everyone wanted the recipe. Will definitely make this again and again. I used Amaretto instead of Brandy and it was a fantastic substitute.

Third recipe I tried from "Everyday Italian." Unfortunately, this did not have the winning taste I expected, although it was quite easy to prepare.
