I usually love Giada's recipes and I adore carbonara but this turned into a "eggy" soupy mess that was pretty bland. Not so good. There are kmuch better carbonara recipes out there.

You just can't go wrong with this dish. It's not something that you fix every day, but when you do you're in for rave reviews. I do mine a little differently in that I substitute pork steak for the meat and season it well with garlic, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Also, instead of parsley I use fresh chopped basil...just gives it a nice earthy Italian flavor.

This was the best caronara I ever had! It was rich and creamy! I made it for a casual dinner party, and everybody love it!

This is one of my favorite new dishes from Foodnetwork. I made several new dishes for a dinner party and all were loved, but this was the one everyone came back for seconds on.

This was a little bland. I didn't use a very high quality Parmesan like Reggiano, so that may be part of it.

I made this dish for my family and my boyfriend. I don't consider myself to be a particularly great chef, but this recipe was very easy to follow and came out amazingly. I substituted bacon for the pancetta because I am a poor college student [read: cheap]. It was a little bland, but it was probably because of my substitution. Also, I thought the sauce might have been a little runny, but again, it was probably my fault. If I made it again, I might make a few small changes, but overall, it was fantastic.

I thought it was good but I would probabaly use bacon or procuitto instead of the pancetta. The pancetta was a little to fatty for my taste.
