I have made this dish a lot now. I have made it with the short ribs, and I have used chuck roast. Today I will make it with a little chuck I got on sale. I have even made it with stew meat. I think it is great.

I've made this recipe multiple times now, so much so that I've tweaked it for ease (one tip: I use canned San Marzano tomatoes in lieu of Roma. I also don't purée the sauce after it comes out of the oven; I like it a little chunky and love biting into the meats, tomatoes, onions, garlic etc., after it's so tender from cooking. Also, don't be afraid to toss everything (minus the pasta, of course into your slow cooker and let it sit all day. It'll still come out awesome!

I made this the other night, and WOW was it delicious! Made the recipe as is; I think the mustard lends a creaminess to the sauce.

Fantastic! My whole family (ranging from teenagers to my 20 month old loved this dish and told me to add it to our list of favorites. The only change I made was that I used white wine instead of red. I just don't care much for red unless I'm cooking and didn't want to waste a bottle. The meal was so hearty and warming...perfect for a cold night or a Sunday super. Thx Giada!!

Fantastic. Other than adding one more tomato, I followed the recipe for the short ribs. But rather than shredding them and serving with pasta, I sliced off the bone and served them with cole slaw and mashed potatoes. They were outstanding and the puréed sauce plays well with potatoes and other veggies. My wife wants me to make them again tonight, and that's not normal. This is thoroughly good stuff.
