My daughter made this recipe for me when she visited. She added fresh roasted beets and I couldn't eat enough of it! Not exactly the most low-cal pasta I've eaten, but now it is one of my favorites! It will be on my table for special occasions! Try it!!!

I made this pasta for my family and nobody liked it, except me.
My kids told me it was grown up food and didn't like the taste of goat cheese,my boyfriend didn't like it either. I, on the other hand, Loved it ! very refreshing pasta salad, great flavor combination, however, I do like the tangy taste of goat cheese. Just make sure people like goat cheese before you make this recipe.

This recipe was great! I loved how easy it was and very tasty. My family loved it! I want to make this for my boyfriend, but he doesn't really like cheesy pastas, so do ya'll think I can substitute the cheese with pesto?

This was amazing as all her recipes are. I cheated and went to Trader Joe's since they sell cubed and peeled butternut squash in bags that are fresh. Did not take any time at all... will make this again and agin.

Molly - most people when they say "goat cheese" are referring to Chevre, a creamy white cheese that looks like cream cheese but is oh so tastier! At least in my opinion, it is tangier than cream cheese and kind of refreshing. I would imagine it would make this sauce much creamier than the feta did. If you've never tried chevre definitely give it a whirl - you will not be disappointed!
Oh, and I agree that this recipe is tops, I think I could eat the roasted butternet squash on its own just like french fries.

I live in Germany and Butternut Squash can be hard to come by so I substituted Sweet Potato and because we are big meat eaters I crumbled and browned off some good ol' German Bratwurst and tossed that in.... Also, I used Pistachios instead of Walnuts and it is absolutely delicious. This definitely will be made again and again in my house!!!

Very easy recipe to make. I wish I added more butternut squash and onions.

Followed the recipe with the exception of the walnuts. Served it chilled as we made it the night before we had guests for brunch. Everyone loved it and thought the squash and goat cheese were a delicious combination of flavors. Overall a refreshing summer pasta.

Made this dish as directed with few modifications... roasted garlic (suggested by others and wheat pasta. I have been trying Giada's recipes for months now and have had success with everything. This particular recipe was outstanding and was very easy to create. I have become a great fan of Giada and have turned many family and friends onto her recipes. In fact I'm hosting a Giada party where everyone brings a dish to share.

This recipe does not disappoint! I used Peccarino Romano rather than Parmaginao and it was great. Next time I might try roasting some garlic along with my squash/onion mixture. I will certainly be making this again!!!!!!
