After reading rave reviews and several complaints, I decided to try this recipe. We thought it was a great combination of complex tastes! This dinner was very filling and we will definitely make it again. =P.

I had to doctor this one because I was running out of ingredients. I had most of the goat cheese so I supplemented with some cream cheese. I forgot to roast the onions so I sauteed them. My butternut squash could have been bigger. Overall I liked this recipe. I didn't love it. I usually LOVE anything Giada but this was still good. I would definitely make it again. It was pretty easy to create.

This was delicious and very easy. I substituted the basil for fresh spinach and the goat cheese for gorgonzola because thats what I had. It was excellent. Next time I'll make the recipe with basil and goat cheese to see the difference.

Fantastic! The way the goat cheese becomes almost an alfredo is perfection. I was afraid the men at the table wouldn't like it because there wasn't a meat at the table - once they put the penne in their mouths they didn't even notice! This is an excellent dish for vegetarians with meaty friends. Can't wait to make again.

It's the combo of the squash and onions that make this pasta for me. SO DELICIOUS!!! I was thinking it might be good with sage and/or rosemary as well? Such a great winter dish. I made it last month and found myself craving it, so I am making it a second time tonight. I also use wheat pasta. Actually this is a very healthy dish as well! YUM!!!!!!

I made this meal tonight for my husband and myself, it makes alot and was way too much for just to two of us but it would be great for a family. The butternut squash was amazing and everything was really pretty but my husband and I are not really fans of goat cheese so it kind of ruined it for us since that is a prominent taste in the dish but other then that it was great. If you enjoy goat cheese and need a large meal for multiple people or a large family this would be a good one!

This is SO good. I don't really love winter squash and needed a way to use up the collection of 5 butternut, 2 acorn, 1 kombucha and 2 spaghetti built up from my organic co-op shares of the past month. This is really good and really easy. The tangy goat cheese works perfectly with the sweet squash. It is even better with a little crispy bacon on top, but it is not necessary.
