I absolutely love this dish! I make it all the time. If I want to make it a meal in itself I add sauteed mushrooms and blackened chicken adding a bit of soy ginger dressing (I cook these three ingredients together with a small amount of butter for a hint of sweetness and it is fabulous. I definitely cut back on the garlic because it makes it a bit too pungently spicy.

I have to give credit to the healthiness of this dish. So I give it four stars instead of three. Whole wheat pasta. Low fat cream cheese. Spinach. But I thought it was just okay tasting, a little bit bland perhaps.

My favorite pasta dish from Giada that is really healthy is her Baked Penne with Roasted Vegetables. That one is SO good I don't think this can compare to it!

I agree that 3 cloves of garlic is way too much. I didn't care too much for the taste of whole grain pasta (although I know its healthier. Next time, less garlic and regular penne.

3 cloves a garlic for this recipie is way too much, just 1 or 2 cloves should be more than enough. Other than the garlic, I really enjoyed this recipie. It was light and creamy.

Wow, this is garlicky! I think next time I make this I'll cut the garlic in half for my family. I think we would like it much better!

This dish was a hit. I made it for a luncheon and everyone loved it. I felt like it needed a little brightening, so I squeezed half a lemon over the top and tossed. So easy and quick to make. I will make it again.

This dish is really great. I am a GARLIC LOVER, but adding the sauce to the pasta when it is piping hot, as well as adding a bit of pasta water to thin the sauce really makes this dish top notch. I put a bit less cream cheese and a bit more goat cheese. I think it gives the sauce a bit more kick. Also, I used frozen spinach, as that's all I had around the house. Lightly toasting pine nuts and adding them gives great flavor. I am making this dish tonight with baked salmon (just seasoned with a bit of salt and pepper. Another addition to the pasta tonight will be sundried tomatoes!
