This was amazing. I'd never cooked steak anywhere but the grill, and this was a wonderful way to do it. The sauce was out of this world. I couldn't find porcini mushrooms so I used baby bellas, and they were delicious. The sauce does separate pretty quickly after you've added the gorgonzola mixture to the shrooms, so make sure you are ready to serve IMMEDIATELY when you mix the sauce up. I will definitely be making this again - an easy way to impress someone :

Made this recipe and loved it. Giada never lets me down. Bought too much gorgonzola and porcini mushrooms. Doubled the recipe for sauce and it would easily serve 6 filets. Definitely would make it again. Husband loved it and tastes as good as any fine restaurant.

I've made this recipe three times and it has been a treat every time. I serve it with a salad, bread and wine. The only difficult part for me is timing the steaks just right in the oven. A meat thermometer helps. My husband has requested this meal for his birthday dinner, and my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Becareful how much cheese you put in. It can completely overtake the flavor of the mushrooms.

This sauce adds a creamy, rich flavor to your steaks, regardless of how you prepare it! We barbecued some rib eye steaks and threw this sauce over it and even my two girls (ages 8 & 11 - picky! loooved it!

This sauce had a great flavor, but I kept in warm in the pan for about 15 mins until everything was ready. It looked like a beautiful sauce when it first came together, but after sitting for 15 minutes it seperated and did not look very appetizing! Still tasty though.

The sauce was awesome. Easy and different. I really want to try it with a wild mushroom called Rozites Caperata, The Gypsy Mushroom. I know it will be sensational! Oh, you won't find The Gypsy Mushroom in any market that I know of. Sorry, you have to study mycology and find it in the wild.

The sauce for this recipe is right on. Smooth, creamy, and had a great flavor. I love mushrooms and this made a great steak even better.

This is the most delicious recipe for steak I've ever tried. Believe me I've tried alot of recipes. Thanks Giada, keep 'em coming.
