These are similar to shortbread or butter cookies, but the fennel seed really gives them a unique flavor punch. I love the pine nuts on top too. A treat!

The dough came out nicely, but the fennel seed didn't quite taste like it belonged and it wasn't that great. However, the pine nuts work wonderfully, don't be afraid to top the cookies with plenty of them.

I brought these cookies to every holiday party I went to recently because not only are they incredible easy and fast to make, but they are delicous! Every person who tries them, wants the recipe. You cannot fail with this delicious take on a sugar cookie!

Love these cookies. The light fennel taste is a delightful surprise. Of course Pine Nuts are welcome any time. The recipe was easy to execute and the quantity right on the mark.
