Today was my first time doing a pizza dough. I found the recipe very tasty and easy to do. However, I only used 4 cups of flour instead of 5 and added 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, it was really good!!! Thanks Giada, I will definitely continue to make pizza with this recipe!

I have tried a lot of different pizza dough recipes, but this one was the easiest (and tastiest. To hurry the yeast along, I do put a little sugar or honey with the warm water to speed things along. It's also easy to make 1/2 recipe.

I make this dough for family pizza night almost every week. The kids prefer it to every other pizza they've had. Love it - couldn't be easier to make, tastes great, and actually fun to knead the dough! Thanks Giada - you're the bomb!

Sorry, this dough was terrible. It was extremely tough. After making this pizza dough I started researching more pizza dough recipes and found others that were basically the same EXCEPT they called for 3 cups of flour rather than 5 cups of flour. That would explain why the dough was so chewy.

I tried this recipe yesterday about 2-1/2 hours before I had to go to work. I did it exactly according to the recipe. Well it came out perfect, when I got back home the dough was done and we had pizza that evening. The dough was perfect and my husband LOVED it. And I have one more dough ball for another small pizza. Thanks Giada!

Easy to make, and the third time I made it I kneaded it for a little longer until I saw the consistency change and it was amazing. Love this recipe!

Delicious and not so terribly hard to do at all. I was terrified to make dough all my life. Since I've become a grandma I felt I must learn! Giada's recipe was followed exactly and I've had fantastic results! Today is the 2nd time I've made it since November. I will always make my own dough from now on! I did knead it for 10 minutes or so each time. Today I made 2 batches, so I got a workout too!

Great taste and easy. I start with 3 cups of flour to the water she recommends and rapid yeast. If I need the rest of the flour for kneading great. But I usually don't knead that much. Pardon the pun. As one other rater stated, you need sugar for the yeast to work. That is simple not true. But if it make you feel better add a tablespoon of sugar to the recipe. I have and found no real difference. Flour works as well as food for the yeast to grow. Our company loves our pizzas as well as the family. Once a week we have pizza for $3.50 cents.

In the video she states using 4 cups of flour but the written out recipe says 5 cups of flour. This is a large difference. Which is it? I made it and it's ok I guess, but maybe the recipe was wrong?

this was really easy to make, i'm sick so i couldnt knead it for the whole 12 min (i could only do 5 min but it still turned out great. i think that is the secret to it being great dough, the kneading part.
