I followed the video and used four cups of flour. I made the dough and had issues kneading it together as it was very dry so I put it in my KitchenAid with the dough hook for *maybe* one minute. I added a couple teaspoons of water during that time and the dough came out PERFECTLY. Cooked the pizza on a stone and it was a hit with the family. I will definitely use this recipe again.

I've made this recipe several times and we enjoy it a great deal. Everyone rolls their own dough and puts the toppings they want, great family time. I lived in Italy, Arco Felice, and it takes me back. Flour is a funny thing and the weather can make a difference in the out come. Water temp, even the water used can affect the dough but, I found it very easy and very tasty. Way to go Giada! I'ld give you more stars if I could.

Dough would not come together no matter how much water I added, it kept cracking. I don't think this dough would work for anyone, you need some type of sugar to activate the yeast. I was hoping it was this simple - but it is just not. Just wasted 5 cups of flour and a pack of yeast. Sorry Giada, usually you are spot on, maybe you missed a piece in the recipe?

This recipe is bland and dry. The amount of flour is way too much compared to the amount of water used. Also, most pizza dough recipes include some sugar to feed the yeast which makes a difference in taste. Also adding some olive oil in the dough makes it moist and delicious.

This pizza dough is very easy to make and very delicious to eat! I've made it several times for my family and the dough comes out very crispy and everyone loves it! I make several at a time and freeze until ready to use and they still come out as if I'd just made them the same day. I just put them in the refrigerator the day I plan to use them so they are thawed and ready!

austingirl93_12946092 Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F. Sprinkle a heavy baking sheet (without sides with cornmeal.
On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough into a 13-inch diameter circle, about 1/4-inch thick. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Spread the toppings, leaving a 1-inch border. Bake until the crust is golden and the cheese has melted, about 15 to 17 minutes.

I did have to use extra water since the dough was a little dry. Next time I will decrease the flour and add as needed. The dough was easy to work with. I actually grilled it and since the dough was dense, it was easy to work with and looked great.

I made the dough once before (with 5 cups of flour and had great success with it (didn't add any extra water. I'm having friends over tomorrow so i prepared the dough this morning, but it wouldn't smooth out. I let it rest for a while, and then kneaded it. smoothed out well, but seems a little dry still, next time i will start out with 4 cups of flour and see how it goes. I'm going to grill it flat bread style. should turn out well. good luck!

i just finished making the dough, which was very easy, however, i do have an issue with the fact that there is no suggested temp to cook the dough at...i know that it's probably very simple to just keep an eye on the pizza to get it just right, but how are you supposed to know...idk i guess i'm going to bake it at 350...any one else have advice?

In watching the video she says to add 4 cups of flour, not 5 like the recipe says. That may be the reason that additional water is needed for the dough. Otherwise, it is a great, easy recipe.
