My husband and I tried this recipe and we both absolutely loved it! I did alter the recipe just a bit...I added some minced garlic to the filling and used Italian sausage instead of turkey sausage. I had a little trouble making nicely shaped triangles out of the squares of pizza dough, so I just folded them in half and made rectangular pockets! The shape doesn't matter - they were just as delicious! I highly recommend this recipe - thanks Giada!!!!!

I absolutly love this recipe. I use a homemade Pizza Dough or storebought fresh dough. Its simple and fantastic for a party or a snack. I occassionally add cheddar cheese and ground beef with taco seasonings instead of the sausage and parmasean for a mexican version.

My family loves this recipe...I always make a double batch because they love them so much. My friend who owns a pizza place has been trying to get the recipe from me so he can make and sell these.

This fine appetizer is what you expect from italian cooking.

I served it to my friends and family before dinner and it got rave reviews...

My husband and I loved this recipe. Based on others' reviews, we did modify the recipe a bit. Instead of arugula, we used frozen spinach. We didn't have sausage, so we used lean ground beef and seasoned it with dried oregano, parsley, basil and paprika. We also sauteed some garlic and onion as well. We also used 2 tubes of crescent roll dough instead of pizza dough and made 8 large patties out of it. I think it would have tasted better with sausage but using ground beef worked out okay. Great recipe and it will make for a fantastic appetizer if we made smaller pieces out of the dough.

I used three packages of crescent rolls, and a package of frozen spinach, and 6 links of hot italian sausage, 8oz. of cream cheese, 2/3 cups of grated pecorino romano, double the salt and the pepper. The dough i used made them way too greasy, pizza dough would solve that(Giada's call in the 1st place, but harder to work with. This amount of ingredients made about 50 (with filling left over, perfect for snacks a few nights running and appetizers on Easter.

Great recipe! I loved the turkey filling. Next time I will use more arugula. Yummy yummy! Makes great leftovers if you just pop them in the oven to warm them up again. Will def. make again!!!
