I loved the idea that i could customize these to fit everyone's taste. i added sausage to the chicken and for those who liked mushrooms, onions. one only had chicken and cheese. Everyone loved them and got just what they "ordered"
My pie crust didn't stick as well as Giada's but it still tasted good.

Neat idea for a dinner party. I wanted it to be a little cheesier, though. I'm not sure if I like brocolli in tomato sauce as well as a cream sauce like alfredo. Loved the meats!

My husband and I love these pot pies. I cheated and used store-bought marinara instead of making my own. Try spicy tomato and basil! I did brown some pancetta and added it to the sauce, as well as a little salt and pepper. Also, puffed pastry works great as the topping if you don't feel like making your own dough. I had some leftover steamed broccoli from the night before so I just chopped that up and used that since we like our broccoli a little on the softer side. Highly recommend!!

AMAZING!!! It took me like 2 hours to make, but it was well worth it!!! I also substituted turkey bacon for the pancheta. My family LOVED it too!!! Will definitely be making this again...and again!!!

I also thought the sauce made the pot pie watery. I suppose I could have waited longer from oven to table but we wanted to eat it hot. As someone suggested, I'll try some tomato paste next time to thicken the sauce. My husband loved it just the way it was so giving it at least 4 stars was a no brainer. Also, I fried the scraps of pizza dough and sprinkled them with cinnamon sugar! One recipe, dinner and dessert!!

I give this 5 stars for the idea but thought the tomato sauce was a bit watery & bland. I substituted hot Italian turkey sausage for the chicken/pancetta & added mushrooms. Plus I boosted the tomato sauce with a good hefty squirt of tomato paste from a tube. I also substituted monterrey jack for the mozzarella since its hard to get really great mozzarella. The result was a thick sauce that was hearty & had great taste.

My daughter and I followed this recipe without any changes except putting it in a 9x13 pan. I would spray the pan edges with a non-stick coating but otherwise it was great!
