My friends couldn't wait for these to hit the table before grabbing them off of the cookie sheet.

While these did take a decent amount of time to prepare, they were so worth it. My husband and I absolutely loved them when I made them. Great contrast of flavors!

I made these as an appetizer for Christmas Eve Dinner. I was able to caramelize the onions a day ahead which made the recipe even easier to prepare with everything else I had going on. They got rave reviews from everyone and everyone asked me for the recipe. People who don't normally like goat cheese at it!

I really liked this. It was nice to have a different item. The onions do take a long time, but worth the wait.

I cooked the onions for a total of 30 minutes. I kept the lid on the pan for half the time. It was still delicious.
